Free and Reduced meals:
Independent School participates in the Federal Free and Reduced Meal Program. Eligible students will receive a breakfast and lunch meal for free or at a reduced cost. The program supports a full balanced meal and will not cover single milks. Milk will cost $.35 each. Single milks for breakfast or lunch are not covered by the program.
Paid Meal prices: Breakfast $1.50 Lunch $2.90

Notice of Intended Appointment
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of Independent School District 52 intends to consider the appointment of Amy Weisz to the position of school counselor. Amy Weisz is related to Board Trustee Brett Weisz, who will abstain from voting on this appointment.
The intended action will be discussed and voted upon during the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees scheduled for Monday, September 22, 2025 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at Independent School.
This notice is provided in compliance with Montana Code Ann., § 2-302(3).

The Purpose of the Early Childhood Clinic is to screen children from birth to age 6 in a wide variety of developmental areas to provide information to parents about their child’s development.
Screenings are provided by trained professionals to look at development, speech, hearing, vision, and social skills.

PARKING APPEAL NOTICE
Independent School District is responsible for Child Find identification and evaluation for all students suspected of having a disability residing in our district. This includes children birth through 21 years of age who are in public schools, private schools, are being home schooled, or are kindergarten eligible, but not enrolled. Early identification and intervention is essential to help ensure school success. Please note for individuals age 19, 20 or 21, the availability of special education and related services may be limited by school district policy.
If a child is having significant difficulty with vision, hearing, speech, behavior, is experiencing slow development typical for his/her age, physical impairments, or learning difficulty, he/she may be a child with a disability. If you have a concern, please contact the following agencies so we may initiate the process for referral and assessment.
